Offerings

Offerings

Offerings are expansive, and travel with me as I go from place to place. They include one-on-one lessons, mentorship, group workshops, medicine sessions, ceremonial support, and concerts, both in private and public settings. For all offerings, please contact me directly.

Teaching

I teach singing, piano, musicianship, music theory, and movement to students of all ages and levels. I also specialize in somatics, gender affirming voice, rehab, and holistic complements to speech therapy. My teaching philosophy emphasizes non-judgement, joy, and a strong, versatile technical foundation. I have taught in classrooms at both the K-8 and collegiate level in after school programs, and privately. I also teach dance, improvisation, spiritual practice, and humanities.

Mentorship

As a mentor, I am passionate about transitions – supporting young people through coming of age; adults through life transitions; medicine people whose gifts have gone dormant or unrecognized; and supporting the grief process as people pass through the veil at the end of life.

Medicine Sessions

I am a practitioner of Shamanic Reiki, a deep form of energy work which emphasizes Reiki as an indigenous and land-based spiritual form. Sessions with me draw on my years of study in somatic forms (massage, Alexander Technique, holistic voice work, Breema) and my layered spiritual practice across traditions, including West African spirituality, Buddhism, the Vedic tradition, and Taoism. Shamanic Reiki supports your spiritual path, and the healing of body, mind, spirit, ancestral lineage, community, and global consciousness across time and space.

Groups

My work with groups includes teaching, conducting, and facilitation. I teach music and dance in group and classroom settings, to students of all ages and levels, from early childhood to elderhood. I have deep experience as a song leader, especially in spiritual and movement settings, and also love to conduct and create original theater. I work as a clinician, most recently with the Free Key Choir in Oakland, CA, supporting the group with technique, musicality, preparation, improvisation, and play. I also support ceremonial gatherings, both spontaneous and planned.

Public Events

My creative work includes opera, art song, jazz, experimental music, free improvisation, contemporary dance, salsa, house, as well as many forms of theater, especially devised, improvised, and physical. I have shared my work publicly in concert halls, house concerts, spiritual settings, DIY spaces, community rooms, drag shows, nightclubs, forests, and music festivals. I am very open to many forms of collaboration and love how many places the music continues to take me. Reach out to me if you’d like to talk about organizing an event.

About Money

I work on sliding scale, and my pricing changes person to person and place to place. More than specific amounts of money, my goal is balanced reciprocity, informed by indigenous wisdom about supporting medicine people with food, housing, care, mobility, and an honored place in the community.

Some general guidelines:
~1 on 1 work –  about $100-200/hr
~group workshops – about $500
~ceremonial work – about $500
~concerts – about $1000+

If you feel called to work with me, please reach out, even if these numbers are outside your current budget. We can talk through the work we want to do and what forms of exchange are available between us.
